Disaster Services
The American Red Cross responds to disasters such as fires, hurricanes, floods, earthquakes or other situations that cause human suffering or create needs that those affected cannot alleviate without assistance. Our chapter works together with government, business, religious and community organizations to ensure coordinated and efficient response to any disaster that strikes. Whether it affects a few people or many, no matter what time of day or night, and no matter what the needs are, our Disaster Action Team is ready to respond. This team is made up of volunteers who receive free training to be able to serve in this capacity. The Chapter also provides staff and volunteers to teach disaster preparedness in the Greater Westfield community to people of all ages. These services are offered free thanks to the generous support of individual donors, business donors and organizations like the Community United Way of Pioneer Valley. If you would like to learn more about becoming a member of our team, please email us at disasterservices@gmail.com or call 413-562-9684 Classes:
