Each year millions of volunteer serve their communities through the American Red Cross, providing the manpower, leadership, funds, and blood donations needed to sustain Red Cross operations and services.

The American Red Cross, Greater Westfield Chapter works every day responding to disasters ranging from single family house fires, helping our neighbors when flood, fire, hurricanes, and tornadoes hit, or when terrorists cause devastating loss and destruction. Our volunteers help collect blood in the Greater Westfield area making it possible to save countless lives. Health and Safety Services instructors train people in Swim programs, Youth Services, HIV/AIDS education, Nurse Assistant Training, First aid, CPR, and the use of lifesaving equipment, making our communities healthier, safer places to live. Armed Forces Emergency Services (AFES) provide emergency-related services to members of the U.S. armed forces, veterans, and their families. International Services is dedicated to protecting human life worldwide.

The Greater Westfield Chapter provides our 9 communities with a Hospital Equipment Loan Service. Items including wheelchairs, walkers, canes, crutches, tub seats and commodes, are provided on an as needed basis free of charge.
